Advice needed on cable cars and/or chairlifts on Monte Rosa
I would be grateful for any information on visiting Monte Rosa. Which is the best town to access it from? Is there a website for the cable car/chairlift with timetables and prices?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Pammca - Are you going from the Italian side or the Swiss?
On the Italian side there are lifts from Alagna, Gressoney and Champoluc - among others.
The Alagna lifts appear to go highest (- 3000m +) according to this link, so might be the best, although I have no personal experience.
Maybe someone else can confirm ...

Hope this helps ...

Hi Steve
I'll be going from the Italian side - thank you for the information, your help is always spot on!
I wonder if anyone else has actually visited Monte Rosa via cable car/chair lift from the Italian side? If so I'd love to hear from you!

Sorry, not quite sure what you mean with "visiting Monte Rosa? You can't get to the summit unless you have very good mountain-climbing experience in rock and ice. If you mean looking at it, then I think Gornergrat from the Swiss side would be the best.
