Advance Purchase of Louvre ticket for one day only in Paris
I will only be in Pais one day only Sept. 2nd and my friend has not been to the Louvre and wants to go so I wanted to buy our ticket in advance to avoid lines.
I went ticketweb, FNAC, and ticketnet and then when you click on stuff it all goes to French, which I can't read, I tried to figure out how to switch the language on it but there doesn't seem to be a way.
So..is there another site I can go to and purchase my Louvre ticket in english?
Thanks for any help or advice.

Hi V,
The website of the Louvre is http://www.louvre.fr/llv/commun/home...sp?bmLocale=en
Under "Visit" click "online tickets"
Click "Ticketweb". It's in English

To avoid the longest lines go in through any other entrance than the pyramid. http://www.louvre.fr/llv/pratique/venir.jsp?bmLocale=en

While its true that buying a ticket there and getting in can be quick, the lines can also be long; depends on the day and time. If you buy in advance, go through the Carousel entrance to the Louvre mall to get in. You'll avoid all lines for entry except the qucik security screen at the various wing entries. The Carousel entrance can be tough to find. It is actually at the enctrance to the Tuileries. If you're looking at the Louvre and the Arc de Carousel the entrance is just as you leave the Tuileries on the left. If looks like you might be in the wrong place, but you're not.

You can buy tickets at lots of places other than the pyramid. I've bought them at three different entrances. If you are coming by metro, the one you connect to underground (the area with all the shops, also where you go from the rue de Rivoli entrance) is definitely one where you can, as I've bought them there. Ira just gave a couple examples of places you can buy them.
