Actually I was old enough to vote in 1956 (the law was 21 then) but had just moved to NYC and had not switched my registration in time... so you see I'm truly ancient.

Yes Kennedy defeated Nixon ... one time that a "squeaker" election went the right way. This time, the votes were for Dems but not in the key states.
