Accommodations in Italy
My partner and i will be in Florence for three days in october. We are on a budget and would like to experince the real 'flavor" of the area. perhaps a homey BED AND BREAKFAST instead of a hotel....reasonably priced of course. Any suggestions?? We would deally like to keep it well under $200 a night.

Try Hotel Aprile. www.hotelaprile.it
Should be within your price range and the breakfasts are very good. Hot chocolate was deemed the best ever by an connoisseur (aged 10).

I strongly recommend Il Villino. The rooms and quality of service there were absolutely excellent. Location just north of the Duomo and close to the Accademia was excellent. Several good restaurants were within an easy walk.

We are staying at Residenza Il Carmine for 4 nights in July. We have stayed with them before and enjoyed our stay.
In July, the price is 89 Euro per night.

The apartments are located in the Oltarno and are very well situated to see all the sights of Florence.
