I agree about spending the evening in town. Our flight arrives about 8:30 PM. I'm now planning on staying at the Mercure Angioini Centro which is right by the Piazza Municipio. You can take the blue shuttle bus right to there rather than a taxi. We are paying 138 euro. There are other more budget hotels near by. Where are you going from there the next day? It is also just a block walk to the hydrofoils and ferries at Beverello.

thanks everyone. had heard bad things about Naples at night so didn't know if it was a good thing to be wandering round late as our flight arrives at 9pm. The shuttle bus sounds a great idea and it seems there are some hostels around there that look good.I think we will head to one, drop off our stuff and go explore a little. Thanks everyone.

Dear Nicnak83,
My wife and I are planning a vacation to Italy in either November of 2004 or Spring of 2005. I am thinking about flying into Naples. What airline are you flying? From Austin, Texas, it looks like Alitalia might be the way to go. Thanks.
