Abbey Tours, Dublin disappointment

Last year I booked all our accommodations for a 2 week trip to Italy using the web. A few were disappointing because they ended up being in "Ten-Buck-2" Tuscany. Not wanting to experience the same disappointment in Ireland, I used Abbey Tours of Dublin to choose the B&B's. Boy, that was a mistake! Evidently, I wasn't CLEAR about wanting to "stay in the cities rather than the country" of the places we visited. Consequently, we ended up 10-12 km outside of Dingle, of Galway, of Ennis, etc. In the evenings, we wanted to visit the Pubs and drink Guinness. Having to drive back to your bed limited our fun.

WARNING...you do not need to use a travel agent for reservations in Ireland!

MK, I am sorry, but I have to ask: a travel agent made reservations for you and you paid BEFORE you knew exact location? You did not check on the map where you will be? You just let an agent to take advantage of you?

At least you weren't in "Timbuktu"!

Sorry - I think is your own fault. You need to either do the research yourself or pay the charges for a competent travel agent.

I'm afraid you misunderstand me. I admit to my mistake. Just wanted to share my stupidity with others. If in doing so I keep someone else from being as disappointed as I, then something positive has been gained.
