A week in Ireland... or not
I am visiting my daughter who is studying abroad at Trinity in Dublin. She has been there since the new year and will remain until June. I am visiting her for a week in April.
Ofcourse, I want to visit her favorite haunts in Dublin. But I know we will only need about three days to really take in Dublin.
Now, we are trying to consider what to do with the balence of the time. We have about four days to do whatever we please for a wonderful mother/daughter trip.
Part of me is saying to go West and visit Galway, Cliffs of Moher etc. Then the other tease is to go to Paris for the few days.
This is my first trip to Europe. It has always been a dream to see Paris- but I don't know if I should wait until I can do it 'right' when I can spend more time.
I apologize for the length of the post, but would greatly appreciate your input.
Thanks,
Pam

Go to Paris. Your first time in Paris should be with somebody that will always love you inconditionally; sounds like a rare opportunity to do just that is in front of you. Take advantage of it. Life has a way of getting complicated after college. Just a thought.

Allright, Dublin may not be a showcase for all of Ireland, but even during those 3 days, you can get a glimpse of the countryside (Wicklow mountains, Newgrange, Tara, whatever).
If you like it, you will want to come back for more.
Now Paris.
If Paris does not live up to your exceptations, you will have "wasted" only a few Euros to go there (from Dublin). If you postpone the trip to do it "right" it may always be a bit too costly, a bit too much hassle, not the right time, and so on.
But if you like it (which I think will be more probable), you will have much more of a motivation to go there again for a longer stay - and you know that it will be worth the money.
