In case anyone was travelling in Europe when this was initially posted, the Toronto GTG will be held on Wednesday, September 12. You don't even have to be a local to attend. Toronto visitors are welcome too.
Check the Canada forum for more information as well as a report about the very enjoyable mini GTG held just this past Monday with the magnificent seven.

Let me add that this is one of the things I like best about Fodor's; that is the freedom for an individual Forum to determine what is important to communicate.
GTG's ARE important. and it is very kind of AA to think to post here on Europe and anywhere else that folks who wish to attend a GTG may be inclined to visit.
Another point of noteworthy difference is the European Healthcare discussion which has been erudite, cranky, clever, wildly irritating and informative by turns, but above all, it has been tolerant of the opinions of others and tolerated by the Editors!
Just try this on Chowhound.com (an otherwise admirable site) and you will very quickly discovery just how hidebound and bureaucratic the rulers can be.
And I look forward to the TO GTG where we can discuss these things and many more!
