RSVP please for Sept 12 Toronto GTG

For anyone that is coming to the Toronto GTG on Sept 12, please RSVP.
Moolyn is going to make our reservation.
I know for sure that some of you are coming, but if you could confirm, that would be great.
Either post here, or email me at
[email protected]

Hopefully we'll have a good turnout... and I'm already sure we will!

Yes, accompanied by my number one source for info on foods I don't like, etc.

So, 2 of us.

Hi Kodi,

Since there may be others like myself who, even though we live in or near Toronto, may spend more time on other FODORS boards - such as the Europe board in my case (I know, shame on me, I should patronize the Canada board more !) - and so it might be an idea to make mention on the Europe board (for example), that there is the first ever Toronto GTG occurring on Sept. 12th. I'm really pleased to see that there are at least 5 of us who frequent the Europe board who will be attending, and who knows, there may be others too who may be interested but don't know about it.

Anyway, its just a thought - and if you'd like me to put out a one-liner on that board if you're not regularly a poster there, I'd be happy to do it. Just let me know.

And thanks once again for organising this. It's very much appreciated, and I'm looking forward to it.

M.

Hi Mathieu. I put up a post on the Europe board some weeks ago and moolyn just topped it today. It's here:

http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=35037180

I'm wondering, though, whether we should put posts on some of the other boards. I haven't been to the Asia board in quite a while.

Looking forward to meeting you in a couple of weeks.

Anselm

Ah ! Thats great Anselm, thank you.

I will keep an eye on it and perhaps make a posting to bring it to the top now and then.

It would be nice if some of our neighborly posters from New York and Buffalo - and there are quite a few of them - would consider hopping over the border to see us. Especially if posters like you are heading over all the way from the East coast !
(I'd love to meet NYCFoodSnob but she's disappeared from the board for quite sometime now. Brilliant poster though !)

Anyhow, looking forward to the GTG and to meeting you as well.

Great to hear about this - where is it being held? I've been a lurking member since 2001!! Don't post as often as I should but would love to meet you all - what time is it planned for also?

Thanks,

kmowatt, the GTG is being held at the Hot House Café, corner of Church and Front Streets, beginning at 6:30pm on Wednesday, September 12. The reservation will be under the name Fodor.

There is underground parking beside the entrance of 35 Church Street for a flat rate of $5 after 6:00. If anyone arrives before that time, even hours before, pull into the driveway, go into the lobby of 35 Church Street and ask to buy a parking pass for $5. Explain to the concierge that you are attending "Moolyn's Hot House Party" that evening. I'll make sure the concieges know who Moolyn is.

Attendees are invited to assemble in my condo above the Hot House Café before and/or after the main event, any time after 5:00.

Hi Kodi. I'm only an occasional lurker on Fodors now and don't really participate anymore. But I caught your post on the US board while lurking during my work break.

Unfortunately, between work, my son's soccer games, and the bridge traffic....a Wednesday evening in Toronto just isn't doable for me.

But thanks for thinking of me, and maybe I can make the next one. Have a great time!!!

HI BuffaloGirl, I'm so glad you saw the post. It's good to know you are ok.
I've missed you.

Good luck with your son's soccer, and all the other things in life!

I had thought of going to Buffalo this weekend for some shopping.. but then thought again...it's a huge holiday weekend. Forget trying to get across the bridge!

Take good care.
