You want detailed restuarants reviews?
Hey, I was too darn busy chowing down to notice if it was any good or not! Those italian cooks are not stingy with portions! And you get to drizzle olive oil on a couple of loaves of bread and munch away before the waiter arrives with six or seven wonderful pasta dishes.
TIP: You often get a discount if you order the entire menu instead of a few individual dishes.
The place I mentioned was fine for those of us whose palates are not finely tuned enough to pick out each individual spices!
We also ate at a french place filled with polite singing nuns! My veal dish was superb.

Holly, that street runs down from Via Nazionale toward the Via Cavour Metro Station.
Look south of Palazzo del Quirinale, and north of the Colosseum. The restaurant is just a few meters south off via Nazional.
Il Qadrifoglio, a Neapolitan restauarant, is nearby.
Buy me a ticket and I'll fly back and show you exactly where it is located. Drinks will be my treat.

Robin4, okay, but let's keep this quiet. Some folks on the board get upset when you eat french food in Italy or the reverse.
Anyway, its called L'Eau Vive at via monterone 85. It is run by nuns from all over the world who dress in thier native costumes. I think they sing a bit around 10PM, but we had left by then. It was a welcome break from all the pasta. A tad more expensive then we had expected, but I thought the food was pretty good and the service was superb. I think Pope John Paul II dined there once when he was an Archbishop. We saw several priests eating when we were there.
Do a google search for more info/reviews.

Cato - hard to say, each was impressive. The quality of the guide also has a lot to do with it. If I were going again, I'd most likely spend a little more time hiking and a little less underground.
Florence was a bit too crowded for us and our main objective was to explore some small hilltowns. We timed it so we still able to walk around Florence in the evening after returning from a daytrip.
