I hope that you will write a trip report after you and your family return from Italy and you get settled back in at home. I can imagine how excited you must be, thinking about returning to Italy does that to one!!
Travelling with children in my opinion makes a trip extra special. They do help us appreciate things we adults might now even notice. Best wishes.
