Another point...
The RATP site also provides downloading of their fantastic individual line maps:
http://www.ratp.fr/fr/ratp/r_29114/b...n-bus-de-nuit/
Note that these as well as the afore-mentioned schedules are posted at the stops, so you really only need them for planning...not for carrying around.

Just now saw this thread so please get READY for some accurate information:
that Marriott used to be some other brand of hotel and it has some of the very SMALLEST rooms we have ever stayed in in ANY hotel anywhere in Europe (and we have stayed in plenty).
Yes, the place is actually within sight of not one but two Metro stops BUT in order to get to any of the so-called "touristy" destinations such as the Louvre, The Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, etc., etc., be prepared to ride and ride and change and change.
Is the Metro safe as compared to what people used to call the "Mugger's Express" AKA that Broadway Local??? Yes, I think you will find the Metro not only is safer but also more efficient and hell of a lot cleaner.
Sorry, but I will never EVER stay in that Marriott again...value for money? Not even close IMO.
