If you are there on a Thus or Sun Richard Lenoir market at Bastille is great fun.Village St PAul for manty small shops and antique pieces.A great little place for inexpensive food is Le Bouquet at Paul an the corner of Rue St Paul and Rue St Antoine/Walk thw Promenade

A favorite stop in the northern part of the Marais is the Marché des Enfants Rouges on rue de Bretagne. The oldest covered market in Paris, stalls sell prepared food of several ethnic varieties. Can get crowded at lunchtime, but worth a stop for sure. In the back row is a stall where Alain makes legendarily delicious sandwiches and wraps which are perfect to take down the block to the park for a spur of the moment picnic.
