4 Nights in Ireland

I am looking for any suggestions of places to stay and how much time to allow for each place. My husband and I are flying from London into Dublin and would like to see Belfast and the Antrim Coast. Is driving a car or taking the train the best way to travel? How long does it take to drive from Dublin to Portrush?

Why are you flying to Dublin?

Easyjet flies from Gatwick direct to Belfast for 7GBP plus tax. I'd skip the drive and the train unless you're trying to see Dublin too.

Driving, definitely.

It's about 2-2.5 hours from Dublin airport to Belfast, depending on construction delays, and I'd say roughly 2 hours to Portrush (I'm not entirely sure of the last one).

But it would be easier just to fly to Belfast. BMI flies to the city airport from LHR.

we spent 2 weeks in Ireland rented a car and spent 3 days in dublin then took off, We had no trouble driving. How we planned our adventure we picked up bus tour books and mapped out a plan for us.We spent extra days in Kilkenny and Galway it will give you an idea.
Have fun we did

Thanks for all your responses and suggestions! We have decided only to go to Dublin this trip and then are planning a 2 week trip to Ireland in the fall when we can schedule more time.
