3 nights in switzerland

Have 3 nights in switzerland , flying in and out of Geneva with family. Suggested things we can explore and best BnBs and places to stay near geneva and still be able to do all must do experiences around. Day trip to Glacier 3000 worth it ? like mountains and snow but also trying to keep it light as travelling with old parents.

apoorvashigh - You'll probably get more responses if you start your own thread.

But to get you started...three nights is only two full days. Glacier 3,000 is about a 2.5 hour trip from Geneva via train and bus, so not really a good choice for a day trip IMO. It's also the one place we actively avoided back in October, as it's very expensive, and the last I heard it was a construction site at the top due to a fire in the restaurant. Do check progress before you decide to go.

I don't know that area well but we enjoyed staying in Montreux years ago. It's right on the lake, very pretty, with flowerbeds and a nice walk along the waterfront. We visited Chateau de Chillon, interesting to see. I'm pretty sure there are ferries running trips across the lake as well.

Thank you!
I am arriving to Geneva at 9 am and planning to directly head to lausanne. Still confused whether I should stay all 3 nights here only or split between Vevey and Montreux.
But plan is to spend a day in lausanne. Day 2 exploring Chamonix and Mont blanc. Day 3 montreux; Finally last day half a day in Geneva and then take back the evening flight.
can i include more things here or add/delete certain items. Any reccos on hotels will be great too as I am super confused. Looking for some place with great views but not too expensive ; Plan is for last week of April;

Also is adding Zermatt in the plan too ambitious ?

How many nights do you actually have? You said three nights but as Mel points out, that's only 2 full days. You have a lot of places on your list, too much for a short time. Lay your plan out on a piece of paper, day by day, and include the travel times between each city.

Switzerland is an expensive country. I think finding something nice with a view, that's not expensive is quite unlikely. How are you travelling from place to place? By train or car?

I have three nights and 4 days (technically 3.5 days). Will be taking the swiss travel pass to easily use public transport around and travel. No car.

I assume you actually have four nights, with the last night in Geneva. In that case your plan is possible.

Day 2 is actually your first full day, if you arrive in Lausanne directly from the airport on day 1. I don't know what time you arrive, but let's assume you'll have at least a few hours to see Lausanne, if you're not too tired from the trip.

Then on day 2 you could visit Mont Blanc. There are day tours from Lausanne, which might be easier for your parents. On day 3 (2nd full day) you could visit Montreux. It might be nice to go by boat on the lake.

I assume that on day 4 you'll transfer to Geneva to spend the night there before your departure. If day 4 is actually your departure day, I don't know how you could visit Geneva. Where would you leave your luggage? Even if you use a luggage storage service, this will consume a fair amount of time. Also remember that you need to be at the airport at least 2 1/2 hours before departure. If you really want to see Geneva, I would spend your final night there.

May be you will stay at Montreux all the time,It's only 20m min by ttrain from Lausanne.
Be aware that in the lasst week of April, most lifts to alpine viewpoints will no run any longer.

Running lifts and gondolas to viewpoints in the snow:
Chamonix - Aiguille du Midi
Zermatt - Gornergerat
Fiesch - Fiescheralp
Moerel - Riederalp
