3 Months stay in Europe
We are planning a 3 months trip to Europe. We are thinking of touring Scandinavia and then staying in the London area for 1 month, then the Vienna area for another month, then tour Greece for a couple of weeks. The plan is very preliminary and we wanted to get feedback from people that have done something like that on how to go about it, where are best places to stay for a long period of time and the best way to rent an apartment.
Thanks

First thing to do would be to check out what - if any - visa you need for a long stay. Look at Schengen visas, I think most European countries belong to Schengen and there will be a time limit on how long you can stay, depending on where you are from.
There are some good recommendations by fellow travellers of holiday rentals on www.slowtrav.com
You can also do a search on this forum, for London especially there are loads of recommendations. Just search for London and apartment.

Austria and Greece use the euro, so I would not put deposits on apartments there until the present uncertainty about the euro and its value subsides. On the other hand, you might not want to tarry about arranging for an apartment stay in Scandanavia.
I wold not recommend Slow Travel as a resource. They have only one apartment review for Vienna and it is six years old. There are a half-dozen reviews for Greek apartments, but only two of them are within the past 2 years.
You can do much better looking at apartment rentals on Tripadvisor, which has 70 apartment rentals listed, some with reviews of less than 2 weeks ago, some with as many as 20 reviews per apartment.
