Favorite large apartment in London

I am going to London next month with 2 or 3 friends for a long weekend. I have been to London many times, but it has been a while and I have not rented an apartment before. We will be visiting one friend's daughter who is doing a semester at Cordon Bleu. Does anyone have a favorite apartment that will sleep up to 6 with at least 2 bathrooms?

I have read through messages here, and I have looked at the nightly rentals on VRBO, but I have no experience with them. I contacted one host in the US about a London apartment but have gotten no reply.

Because we only will be there 3 nights, I know that limits us. Money is not a major factor since we will be splitting the cost at least 4 ways, but, of course, we like to save money. Any suggestions?

Keep topping until Janisj responds - she's the ultimate expert on such a question - having many times given great info in answers seeking info on apartments (flats). I think she has inspected practically every flat in London.

PQ is just being silly (but he's in withdrawal from the flat emulsion so we cut him some slack )

One thing you might consider - contact even places that do have 5 or 7 night minimums. Sometimes they will rent for a shorter period if it fits in between other, longer bookings.

Here is a very nice one that does accept short lets. http://www.holidaylettings.co.uk/ren...n-zone-1/18389

Thank you! That is a good idea. I will try the other one, too.

www.londonguestsuites.com has a ton of flats that meet your requirements. Enter the following property codes in the upper right corner for just some of them:
1540, 142, 2546, 1054,2100, 141, 1065, 2011, 2037.

The Sloane Club have flats that you can rent for shorter periods;

Very nice too, near Sloane Square.

I have found that many have a 7 night minimum.

Another good one (but pricey) is Beaufort House, on Beaufort Square near Harrods. They have three and even four bedroom flats.

Janis - no i am off the paint for New Years and i was not being silly.

Your knowledge of apartments and London hotels is amazing. And that's a sincere assessment - really.

In Fodor's 2009 England guide you are quoted at least three times - once more than flanner.co.uk even and the most of any Fodorite i could see.

Cheers - remember to meet me at the Big Giant next summer solstice.
