3 days in Tallinn and surrounding areas?
Meeting my father in Tallinn, at the end of April for 3 days. What would be the best places to visit? We will leave 1 full day for Tallinn Old town but I heard Laheemaa is pretty? How about Haapsalu? Thanks!

Hi, Percy
Thank you for responding. I have not thought of these two. How long will the drive be? If it's 2/3 hours to get there and 2/3 hours to get back then it's not really worth it. We want to spend as much time seeing things and less time driving... Also, another question for you - how is the weather there in April? Thank you!

Well Iwas thinking that on one of those3 days you have that you could do the loop
From Tallin to Tartu.....2 hours ,nice countryside
From Tartu to Parnu...2 hours
From Parnu tp Tallinn 1 3/4 hours if you do not stop at those little quaint towns.!!
I would spent two days in Tallin. There is lots to see once you do the Old Town.
Like :
Kadriorg Castle
Peter the Great Museum
Rossalka Monument
Song Festival Bowl. ( Where they sang for freedom in 1989)
Estonia Concert Hall
St.Bridget Convent Ruins
Maarjamea Palace
Open air Museum
Be sure to see BOTH of the lookout point in Upper Town in Tallin

Read and enjoyed your Herlsinki and Tallin reports.
That last picture on your Tallin posting, with St. Olaf's Church in the background, was that taken from one of the two lookout points in Upper Town ?

Do you have the link to your first Tallinn posting. ?
That picture must have been from one of the two main (only?) lookout points.
I would like to read your first Tallinn posting .
I have read many of your postings and enjoyed everyone
