Can you remember where were the black polycerate sheep (I think it's a Hebridean, but do you know?) and the wallpaintings pictures taken?

Can you remember where were the black polycerate sheep (I think it's a Hebridean, but do you know?) and the wallpaintings pictures taken?

Each photo has an identification, and if possible was geo-tagged. If you are speaking of the lambs, I can only say that it was taken while driving around Scotland. But I do not understand the reference to wallpainting pictures.

I'd not been able to find the captions.

The wallpaintings in your pictures are the paintings on the wall of the church (just after the Oxford sequence), which I now see is Beckley, presunably the one in Oxfordshire. It's unusual because the 15th century Last Judgement over the chancel (the wall in front of the altar) has been overpainted with the Royal Arms during George III's rule: usually it'd just have been whitewashed over in the 16th century and left that way for the following 450 years.

The black polycerate (= multi-horned) sheep is also captioned Beckley. They're quite unusual in England: the only herd I've seen outside a rare breeds zoo is at the end of my street, where they fascinate our dog. Your picture isn't our herd.

and I thought you were referring to the black-faced lambs in by Scotland series.

Yes, these pictures were all taken in Beckley where we briefly stayed with friends which gave us the opportunity to see Oxford. The sheep were on the estate of the mansion (last picture in the series).
