20 and Priceline?

According to Priceline I need to be 21 to reserve a hotel room, but I'm 20! Do you think I can get away with making the reservation? Do you think hotels will be annoying about it?

I don't think I'd chance it. Sometimes they won't let anyone under 21 rent rooms, and they'll definitely check a passport or something when you check in. But then again, maybe the under-21 rule isn't the case in Europe, as it is here.

I've been booking hotels in London and the rest of Europe since I was 16 without any problems.

I think its a US thing, as Priceline is mainly geared to that market

Have been staying in hotels in europe since I was 19. They have no problem at all as long as

1) you have a valid credit card

2) you appear to be responsible (one or two well-behaved persons)

Just as in the the US they will not be happy renting to troops of teens/early 20's - esp if loud or poorly dressed - without substantial deposits and/or adult supervision - unless it is a hostel.

But that doesn;t mean Priceline will actually take the ressie (do they require you input your age on the form?).

Priceline doesnt ask your age, but they do say you have to be 21 - but I was just wondering if maybe hotels in london were more lenient about this.

It's highly unlikely any hotel will ask your age, particularly if you're 20. I've yet to hear of it happening. Note, though that the Priceline.co.uk site, the Priceline.com.hk and the Priceline.com.sg sites offer more or less the same thing, but in a different currency (so you'd have to be careful with currency conversions if bidding), and all of these sites only require you to be 18.
