I'm not a party type at all (too old for that) but really enjoy Mykonos. Wandering the little streets and passageways, discovering interesting shops, and taking the bus to a different beach every day is a real pleasure. The highlight of my visits to Mykonos is the archaeological site on Delos, only 30 minutes by boat from the old harbour.

Hi WWK,

I've wanted to take a cruise through the Greek Isles for some time, but had noticed that all the itineraries to Santorini and Mykonos were tendered ports...causing you not to have much time on the islands. So I decided to just fly and actually stay in Greece. My question is that now that I will be on land only (no cruising), should I go ahead and incorporate Mykonos on this trip to allow myself leisure time to explore. I was thinking maybe staying 2 nights in both Santorini and Mykonos. If in the future I take a cruise there, I won't be upset that I'm not allowed much time on the islands.

Hope I'm making sense here. And no we're not the partying type, but I can work around that. I just love the pictures of Mykonos.

Thanks again!
