2 bed/2bath Rome apartment in Navona area

Hello Fodorites! We plan on spending Thanksgiving week in Rome, from Nov 18-25 and I am looking for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment in the Navona/Pantheon area, we will be four adults. Price around €200-250/night, which appears to be quite doable for those dates.

I have found a few on Airbnb which look good, have also emailed Sleep in Italy and Floralia Homes about their apartments in Campo di Fiori. Looked on booking.com too, which showed up a couple from Rental in Italy. We’ve used this agency in the past without any issues, but recent reviews aren’t good.

Would like your opinion on these five apartments I have shortlisted, not sure the first two are quite in the Navona area, one appears to be closer to Termini.

Please also suggest any of your fav apartments. Personally I would like to be in Travestere, but my brother and DH want to be around Navona. And please, no more than two flights of stairs to climb, or an elevator if higher.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Moderator, please tag for Italy as I don’t find that option! Thanks in advance!

I like the third apartment and the last one. We have stayed in this apartment and really liked the location. They have others in the same building and it is in Campo di Fiori. They do have an elevator. https://abnb.me/TuSRVVVouBb. I loved Trastevere and will stay in that area next time.

Those links aren't working right now, all say "currently unavailable," but a friend and I stayed at Monte Giordano Flats on Via d. Monte Giordano. It's west of Piazza Navona, so in the opposite direction of the Pantheon. There are 5-6 steps to get to the elevator. Great location, near bus stops, near the piazza. It was nice, new bathrooms (in fact, they were literally just finishing them when we arrived in May of last year). I'm pretty sure I booked it on Booking.com.

We stayed in both these apartments. Pedestrian street in good location and I loved having the terraces!

macdogmom, that apt looks great, but it is more than double the OP's budget.

Ah yes, just realized that. The second one and the same building (called the Pink apartment) is even more so I wouldn’t bother to give link. We stayed in both and I don’t remember them being this pricey. We were there in May and used terraces every evening!

Many thanks Paqngo, SusanP and macdogmom. The Campi di Fiori apartments you mention are the Floralia ones, priced more reasonably on their website, I have emailed them for a quote. I am okay paying more, though we probably won’t use the terrace much in the second half of November.

Susan, do you have a link for the Monte Giordano apartment? Will try and find it on booking.com too.

All things being equal I like apartments 3, 4 & 5 in my first post. Would like to book it in the next week/10 days. Thanks again all, appreciate your help!

Susan, looks like the Monte Giordano apartment has only one bathroom, so won’t work for us!

The Monte Giordano Flats building has more than one apartment. The one we stayed in had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. If it's not showing up on Booking.com, it probably means it's not available for your dates.

Rome Sweet Home seem to have some apartments available close to Piazza Navona.

I definitely used the direct website when I rented pink apartment and red apartment (a few years later) in the Floralia apartments. The terrace was nice if you wanted to get some great food to go and sit out and have lunch and we had drinks before dinner every night. It’s got lovely views of the city, rooftops and a church’s dome. Good luck and have fun. Looks like weather is still nice in November.

I emailed Rome Sweet Home and they have two apartments available for our dates, both bear Navona and similarly priced, the first has a terrace which we would perhaps be able to use in November too. Need to look for reviews, maybe they’re listed on other sites too. Does any of you have personal experience of these apartments or agency?

macdogmom, thanks for suggesting the Floralia apartment, but the Pink apartment is priced at about €4000, double what I want to pay. Would rather spend that money on some nice dinners/wines, €2000 is quite a bit of spending money! 😉
