14th Century Mill for rent - Dordogne
A friend from South Africa has restored a 14th century mill in the Lot-Dordogne region of France. Each out building of the mill and the barn have all been converted to suites and apartments. she has asked me whether I thought Americans would be interested in this type of vacation. While I have a great time there, eating, biking, sightseeing, etc. I am unsure if it would appeal to an American traveler, any comments?

I think it sounds perfect for many Americans. I'd suspect many Europeans would question why anyone would want to stay in a barn, but I think of lot of us "crazy" Americans would love the idea. Personally, give me some rustic beams, old stones, etc. and I'm happy as a clam.
