11 November in Amiens and Villers Bretonnneux

I'm looking for information about how this date is marked specifically in Amiens and Villers Bretonneux. Our family has the opportunity to be there at that time, and will be tracing the experiences of our great-great-uncle who was killed on the WWI battlefields.

If anyone can speak from personal experience, or point me towards a website that shows details, I would be most appreciative. Di

There are always major WW1 commemorations in Amiens, but obviously they will not be as grandiose as in 2018.

For anyone interested, I've just had confirmation that Villers Bretonnneux will be holding a rememberance ceremony at 11 am on 11 November in the village. Di

I follow an Instagram site and last night the post said that 140 international rugby players from nine different countries died in WW1. It is World Cup season so am sure that is why this was mentioned. The picture they showed was the Captain of the All Blacks. He died at the Battle of Passchendale in 1917. Dave Gallaher. We went last year at the end of Nov but the wreaths were still everywhere on the memorials.
