Wyndham Old San Juan....How close to port?

We have booked the Wyndham Old San Juan Hotel. It is supposed to be close to the cruise port. Is it walkable?

It's literally just across the street and down a short distance. I don't know how much baggage you take on a cruise, but we took a cab to the port because my husband can NOT travel with anything less than two big suitcases. If we had only had a light load we might have opted to walk across.

It was nice waking up in the morning of the day we were to embark, and looking across the street and seeing the ship!

We took the Nordic Empress (RCCL).

Depends on the ship you are taking - - for example the Galaxy does not dock right there. It docks at the Pan Am pier which is not close to the Wyndham.

Everyone - Thanks for the information.
We are on the Golden Princess.I called Princess and it docks at the Frontier Pier so I hope we are in the right place! Our luggage is on wheels and easy to manage.

I hate to burst your bubble, but Frontier Pier is about a mile from Old San Juan and the Wyndham. Old city piers 1,3 and 4 are the piers in Old San Juan. Pan Am and Frontier are a taxi or bus ride from the Wyndham.

Guess I was the lucky one, huh? Looking out my hotel window and seeing my RCCL ship right across the street. Sorry, Katybird, but I had no idea there were other cruise ship ports in San Juan.

Enjoy the hotel anyway!
