I'm booked on the Sapphire Princess out of San Francisco to Mexico on Sept 22nd.

Just did this itinerary in reverse on the Star Princess in February. It is an outstanding trip in every respect. The Sapphire is new this year and about the same size as the Star. They handle the 2,600 passengers quite well but we found it to be too large for our liking. People, people everywhere!

I'm taking this same cruise (Sydney/New Zealand), but not until January 2005.

We are considering this itinerary for the near future. What did you do at each port? Did you use Princess tours or arrange your own?
