My husband just announced a last minute business trip to Hawaii in 2 weeks which we would like to extend for some vacation. I have found a good on-line price for an NCL 7 day cruise around the islands. We are considering a Superior Interior cabin and see availability on several decks. As last minute cruisers we don't have a lot of choice and we want to make the best of it. If anyone is familiar with NCL Pride of Aloha, could you please comment?

Because my husband tends to motion sickness, we select a cabin midships and as low as possible for minimal movement.

I have been on a cruise with an inside cabin and would not book that kind of room again. It is always dark, you never know what time it is since there are no windows. Also, we like staying low towards the bottom and in the middle of the ship. My sister tends to get very seasick so that is the best place for her than being higher up.

I agree with Sunshine, avoid the inside cabin. I'm not familiar with this ship or your options, but we always get a mid ship, low deck with a balcony. If there are no balcony cabins than at least get a cabin with a window, otherwise it's very claustophobic.

If you book an inside cabin bring flashlights! There's no finding the bathroom without one. A clock with an illuminated display makes a good night light. Balconys are best be insides are cheap

We disagree about inside cabin! We have been cruising for 20 yeras, 40 cruises. We have had suites with names, balcony, outside and inside cabins. We have gotten so we LIKE the inside cabins. Yes it is dark but leave the bathroom light on or bring a night light. My husband is up usually between 5 & 5:30 every day. (He's self employed.) As soon or before he sees light, he's up. With an inside cabin he has been known to sleep til 10! Thats still gives us lots of time to go ashore, ect. and not go to bed early like we do at home. We still make it to the disco late. We decided inside was ok after an 8 day for $379 each. Location doesn't matter as the elevators are so fast. And most outside and inside cabins are the same size with everything the same. Go for it and then let us know what you thought!

20 cruises ago, our first cruise was an inside cabin........NEVER again. Go with at least a window, and balcony if you can.

For my money, I would splurge on a balcony, or an outside at the very least.

You will be in Hawaii and the scenery is beautiful! You will be able to sit on your balcony and enjoy a coffee in privacy in the mornings and a glass of wine before dinner. In sailing areas like this, a balcony is well worth it.

I do not think an inside is a bad choice for a short cruise or one where the scenery on a daily basis will be boring. But for Hawaii, I think its worth it!
