Back of ship cabin? Good choice?

Hello:
We're booked on Celebrity's Constellation for this Nov. and are in a balcony cabin that literally faces the back of the ship. We're on Vista deck (7th deck) and are wondering if we'll feel much motion at that location. Any thoughts?

These stern or "aft" cabins are hard to get and my very favorite spot on any ship. I generally only book when I can confirm that location.

The view over the wake is fabulous and balconies generally larger, sometimes by a lot.

As for motion, sometimes, yes. We feel that the pluses outweigh that minor potential problem.

I agree with kfusto: back of the ship is my first choice too.

I think it depends on whether you get motion sick or not. For my husband, who does, the motion would not be "that minor potential problem". Feeling ill can ruin a vacation.

we love the aft cabins also. be careful not to get the very last few cabins tho. we felt the shimmy and shake of the rudder often. finally we asked to be moved. but the only cabin available was a single, a few cabins forward, other side of the ship. my husband took it and the kids and I had to stay in our original room. other than this small area of the ship I ALWAYS book aft cabins. sleep tight & sleep aft!

Just be aware that some people looking aft but going forward can get motion sickness.

bondie,
what do you mean to avoid " the very last few cabins"? Are there some Aft cabins that are not so good?
