"Weather" for Alaskan cruise in late July
Family is going on Alaskan cruise leaving Vancouver on July 37th-wondering what kind of temperatures we will be dealing with...are we talking about sweaters or tank tops? etc...thanks!

Hmmmm.....July 37th??
Dress in layers....can be cool, but can warm up during the day. You can buy a souvenir sweatshirt in Alaska to wear if you don't wish to pack a lot. Also plan on a few days/ hours of rain. I consider Alaskan weather difficult to predict. I know for sure, I was never in a swim suit the month I was up there during July!!
Happy cruising!!

During our 17 day vacation in Alaska, we wore shorts one day in Anchorage durng a heat wave. I recommend taking layers including jeans, silk long underwear, micro-fleece shirts, earband, thin gloves, and a hooded, water resistant jacket long enough to cover your butt.

Yes-July 37th...I am operate on a "special" calendar!
OK-meant 27th..and thanks for the advice. IS there a website that I could get updated info on weather as our trip approaches? I guess I'm surprised about the gloves and hat situation...

Tank tops are out. Layers are in, and indeed take a knit hat and gloves. If this is a round trip cruise the temps will be cooler than interior with Fairbanks downright hot- possible. Rain gear, 2 pair of walking shoes, lined lightweight jacket. Don't be one of the severely unprepared passengers I see on every trip.
