Now, this is probably a good place to add that while the Disney cruise is fabulous, and we think we're spoiled for all other cruise lines, we have a very hard time pinpointing why.

The cabin was all that (Category 9B), especially considering that it was a pretty basic outside. DS adored the sofabed arrangement, particularly since he could lie on it and watch non-stop Disney movies on the TV (we had trouble prying him out of the cabin, actually). He also liked the recent theatrical releases in the big movie theatre, and spent quite a lot of time there. The split bath was also great, along with the tub, because I prefer baths (caveat, it's a very small tub, and I think really meant for young children--I managed, but I'm barely five feet tall).

The adult pool area was great, and they did a very good job of keeping children out of it, but we weren't in it that much do to the weather being a little cool. I had figured the waterslides as a draw, but none of us rode one even once.

The food was wonderful, but with the exception of a few snacks, we ate almost exclusively in the dining room.

We didn't see any of the stage shows, and didn't do any character meet and greets.

We did spend a lot of time wandering around the ship, but we tried to stay out of the stores.

So it sounds kind of boring, except it wasn't. It was fabulous.

Sounds relaxing!

Just curious, what type of novels do you write?

Contemporary gay (m/m) romance, with some historicals, a mystery, and some short fiction that's probably better categorized as gay fic. This is me. http://www.amazon.com/D.C.-Williams/...ne_cont_ebooks

And if anyone is really curious, I have a permanent freebie--http://www.amazon.com/D.C.-Williams/e/B00CAQ7MBW/ref=dp_byline_cont_ebooks_1

I don't know how you manage to work, look after your dad, and be a prolific novelist, but I doff my hat to your time management skills!

Thanks! A certain amount of housework falls by the wayside, but we can't have everything.

The next morning we were up bright and early and had breakfast in the dining room, but we went upstairs by the buffet to watch the ship pull into Nassau. We got some coffee an a couple of nibblies and sat outside. I will say that we were not all that impressed by it. There's a large selection, but it's chaotic and kind of small.

Sorry, I have largely forgotten about this trip report.

I'm going to try to finish.

After we docked we walked through Nassau and visited the Pirate Museum. We also took a picture of DH with several of the white suited policemen they have downtown.

I'm sorry I missed this post first time around because we live in Vero Beach and I could have made some suggestions. Looking forward to your impressions.

About the Space Center, the launchings are fairly frequent in the winter months, so if you're down this way again, check their website because there are plenty of places to watch the launches free. We can see the night launches from our house.

We have become enthusiastic cruisers, doubt we would try Disney due to the child to adult ratio but I have heard very good things about their ships.
