Suggestions for a Short Mediterranean/Europe cruise
Any suggestions for a short(3-7 day)cruise in Europe or the Mediterranean? Are there lines that cruise around only one country, such as Spain? Or go to one island, as we would travel to Bermuda from NYC?
It will be my first time trying a cruise. Will be accompanying my elderly father and am looking for a comfortable rather than a party atmosphere.

We are planning on meeting family in Europe. The cruise would be one part of a vacation.
I'll check out Greece, thank you. Any particular line you recommend?
Has anyone cruised on a short trip from Spain(i.e., to Marjorca) or Italy(to Corsica). The locals probably take such cruises. Do I need to contact a travel agent in Europe?

Hello,
Royal Caribbean does 7 day Western Mediterranean cruises, departing from Barcelona. The sailings depart from May 24-October 18. The ports-of-call are Barcelona; Monte Carlo/Cannes, France; Florence, Italy; Rome; Naples; Valletta, Malta and return to disembark at Barcelona. It would probably be best to work with a travel agent, here in the U.S., who specializes in cruises and who has spent some considerable time in Europe, too.
Have a great day!

Check out rssc.com (Radisson's website). We have a 7 day cruise booked from Venice to Rome and I'm sure there are other iteneraries. This is a GREAT cruiseline for the peace and comfort you're looking for and they're shorter than most Mediterranean cruises. It is wonderful!
