Please someone give me info from their personal experiences on the SS Norway. Thinking about our family going right after Christmas. Is it a dump or will I be supprised. Why is it so much cheaper than a lot of the others. We have been on the Carnival Inspiration. It was ok - actually we enjoyed it. Is the Norway worse or better???

I am not sure if you don't watch the news or if they are still selling this ship on thier website.

The ship had and explosion and killed at least 7 people, then it was towed away to be repaired.

I wouldn't go on this ship if it was free.

Do some research, you won't either once you are brought up to date.

I agree with Maryann - I would not choose this ship.

There was an explosion in May on this ship that killed several staff people. The ship recently was sent back to Europe (I believe) for repairs. I would be hesitant to sail on this ship again.

I was on the Norway about 6 years ago and even if the recent explosion hadn't happened..I wouldn't go back again. Having to tender in EVERY port because it was too big to "park" was a definite negative.

NCL released a statement today saying that they are suspending bookings on the Norway indefinitely until they are confident about a new date. They are hoping the ship will sail again in Spring 2004.
