Sea Dream Info

We're taking a SeaDream cruise this Christmas!!! Any info you could give would be greatly appreciated!!!! We're used to SeaBourn and SilverSeas...so we're assuming a similar experience can be expected!!! Thanks, Tim

Tim, I'm a "dyed-in-the-wool" Seabourn Sailor but I have friends that have been sailing Sea Goddess I&II for a long time. I think the ships haven't changed that much. They love the mostly informal ambiance. Perhaps one of these days I will try Sea Dream. Have a great voyage!

Thanks! Actually, we were booked last Christmas on SeaGoddess and they gave us a Seabourn cruise in exchange when SeaGoddess' were sold. We LOVE Seabourn, also! Tim

Tim, we've cruised the Legend a couple of times, but the Pride is our favorite!
Capt. Leif Rodahl is soooo funny! And we also enjoy the hotel M.G.'s Guy Sharp and Norbert Fuchs! Alot of fun!The best part, of course, are the fabulous guests! We've made friends with so many....some will be lifelong!
I e-mail to Kuwait to Brussels, to London, etc., etc.....all wonderful folks! We usually cruise in Dec., also, but haven't quite decided about this year. Have a great time and Bon Voyage!

I can't compare SeaDream to the lines you mentioned . . .we just started to explore the small ship market. But I took the SeaDream II in May with my daughter(age 28)and have booked the November 30 sailing out of St. Thomas for my husband and me. I can hardly wait to get back on that "ship."

I've never sailed Seabourn but have sailed Silversea and really can't say that the SeaDream "experience" is similar other than you can expect top, top, top quality in EVERYTHING! The yacht experience is so unlike the cruise ship one, that it really is hard to compare the two. The best way I can describe the difference is that where a cruise ship gives you all the pre-planned activities and you have to fit yourself into their agenda, on SeaDream, you create your own experience, using a vast selection of the raw materials they provide (i.e., the incredible sports deck with their wave runners, sailboats and such; mountain bikes for exploring ports on your own; their free "shoreside casuals," which are like shore excursions but more personalized...and did I say "free"??...and, basically, anything else you want! I, along with some others who have recently sailed SeaDream, posted, as the person above stated, and they're quite lengthy posts. Check them out. I can just promise though YOU'LL BE THRILLED!!! I'M SOOOO JEALOUS!!!
