San Francisco hotels

My husband and I will be taking a cruise this Fall out of SF. Does anyone have advice on a hotel near the pier? We would like to fly in the day before and stay at Fisherman's warf. Would like to book thru Priceline if possible. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

There are quite a few of the chains in the area- Marriott, Sheraton, Holiday Inn. Actually, I've stayed at a Holiday Inn that was very nice and within walking distance to the pier, Ghiardelli Square, and most everything else. It was a decent rate, clean, and quiet. I think it's called Holiday Inn at Fisherman's Wharf. If you have a car, their parking fee was reasonable.

Actually the cruise ship pier is very close to the Wharf so any hotel in the wharf area would be close also the Hyatt Regency on Market Street or if you are into small boutique hotels the Harbour Court which is just off the Embarcadero and Market
