Majahual, Mexico Port. Have You Been There?
Due to the horrific damage in the Caymans and Princess Cay our cruise itinerary has changed from 4 ports of call to 3, skipping Grand Cayman and Princess Cay and replaced with Majahual.
I am not terribly fond of big resorts and the photos I have found on the web are not enticing to me. I would like suggestions as to what there is to do other than lounge around a big salt water pool. What is your favorite excursion? Can you rent a car from here?
Thanks in advance!

I was in Costa Maya in January 2004 and really liked this stop. First, they have a free, beautiful, huge, swim-up-bar pool. They have several of the standard shopping stores. They have a reasonably priced, fast internet store. They provide free native entertainment in a small amphitheater near the pool. And they have a beach you can use, also free. And, I had a fantastic massage right on the beach (there is a white canopy) for about $55.00 an hour. My wife went off with her mother to see the ruins and thought that was nice. You can walk the pier from the boat or they provide a free, continuous shuttle from the boat to land.
