I got the 'cruise' fever again; Help us choose

We are looking for a 7-10 day cruise, something not too pricy, without a long flight just before, etc., and hopefully somewhere we have never been...it's to get a sun break (live in Seattle) and our Vitamin D is running low. So...we have done the Windstar several times, Paul Gauguin, etc., and Princess and HAL. So would be willing to try some other cruise lines, but would like a good recommdation...also, sort of last minute, so we won't be too choosy.
thanks.

Have you ever taken the Mexican Riviera cruise from LA or San Diego?

Yep, done that, but never to Costa Rica...anyone recommend a good cruise...not a huge boat, but someone who is reliable.

If you like Princess check out the 10 day Panama canal cruise which includes Costa Rica on the Coral, one of their smaller ships and one that gets good passenger reviews.

The Emerald has a ten night to the Southern Caribbean as well but she is too big for me and I don't like what I have been reading.

From Seattle you can fly to Hawaii for a 7 - 11 day NCL around the islands cruise. You can also fly to Acapuclo to join the Azamara Quest for the Panama Canal. Azamara is an off shoot of Celebrity, competing head to head with Oceania. They have the same class of small ship so you will enjoy the quality you prefer. Crystal also offers an 11 day Panama Canal starting in Costa Rica.

Yep, done mexico reviera, baja, etc. What about Greece, or maybe Costa Rica...
I got a real dread of gettig into a situation on a cruise where things are not going right. Had this experience with Grand Circle, and it was so dreadful...We were literally 'trapped' for 3 weeks, and everything went wrong. So I am looking to hear some honest feedback and suggestions. I would prefer a small ship, and the dates have to be in March...those are our only constraints.

How about a one way flight to Miami and a 20 day reposition cruise back to your home in Seattle for 1,000 each???
here it is:
