Hotel in Barcelona
Hi there,
Our cruise is Med 7 nights in RRCL from Barcelona. We are thinking to spend 2 days before the cruise.
Any suggestions for the Barcelona hotels? Less than $200 (I know it's difficult) would be good.
We are 3 adults.
Thanks for any inputs.

Here is the website to Tryp Apolo hotel in Barcelona.
Close to everything and it is a 4 star hotel for about 154 euros...which would be in the price range you asked about.
Have a good time

We liked the Hotel Lleo--great location, large rooms, nice bathrooms, friendly front desk staff. I think paid either $105 or 105 Euro.

There is no doubt that a perfect little hotel that was recommended to myself and other cruisers is the www.hotelcontinental.com. There are sixty rooms in the smaller place it is acrossfrom the top of The Ramblas..included is in the common room a continental breakfast, refreshments available all day long including drinks, except for wine and beer and free internet service.. On top of that if your interested I he the name of a taxi driver/guide... who was raised outside of NYC and speaks perfect english... At the Continental we were surprised to meet cruisers from other ships, backpackers, etc.. On top of that the outside rooms have a balcony (you don't want an inside) with bistro set to sit and people watch on The Ramblas.. feel free to write. [email protected]

Thats about what we paid in 2002 (for 3) though bear in mind the USD was stronge then. We stayed at the : www.avenidapalace.com. Its right in the Ramblas area and w/i easy walking distance of the square from which the tourist buses depart. Enjoy Barcelona.
BTW the price included daily breakfast too.

My husband and I stayed at The Avenida Palace several years ago. Actually got the referral from internet posts. I e-mailed them my request and they were just lovely to us. Gave us a great suite with a balcony. It is very well located for Gaudi looking and Las Ramblas. Word of caution,be alert while in Barcelona (actually this is obviously true of all travelling)It is wise to stay where there are other people around.
Have a great time. It is a wonderfully interesting city.
