Hi,

We have 4 people travelling on a cruise in Nov 2006. We'll be arriving @ 2:30 pm & the ship sails @ 5pm. What is the best way to get to Port Everglade from the airport & how long is the ride. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,
We also have 4 going in dec.2006 from Ft. Lauderdale.
I have researched this and my travel agent informed me that the port is very close to the airport and I was told it is about a $5.00 Taxi ride to the port. Since time is a factor this would be your quickest and least expensive way to the port! Happy Sailing!!! Look it p on mapquest and it shows that the port is about 4.29 miles away!!!

Forgot to ask you which cruise ship you are taking. We have decided to try Costa Magica and was wondering if this is your ship as well?

I did this 4 times this year and $5 is not accurate.

It is about $12.00 at best and there are delays with security going into the port that caused my last two trips to be over $20.00.

Thank you for your advise, we'll be taking a cab to the port for sure, I just wasn't sure how far the port is from the airport.

We will be cruising on the Sun Princess & We're really looking forward to it. Hope you have great time on your cruise too Rebecca.
