Your ship is scheduled to berth at Pier 2, which is a couple of blocks away from the Marketplace. I know the rental car companies send shuttles to the piers for passengers, but I don't know if they run that late. stay tuned...

I checked with someone in the know and he said this:
They all have different hours but we offer them up until 7PM. They can return to Waikiki until 8 but have to catch their own ride back to the ship ($2 bus or $20 taxi). They can return to the airport at 10PM (we waive any drop fees) but theyh ave to catch their own ride back to the ship ($25 taxi).
Make sense? basically it sounds like you may have to catch a cab back to the ship. MAY have to.

If you wind up out at the airport, you may be able to catch one of the shuttle vans for less than a taxi. A new shuttle service called Mahalo took us from Aloha Tower to the airport for only $6 in the daytime. They were somewhat disorganized though, and when they wouldn't come out to the airport to bring us back, an airport worker recommended another company. I think that one charged $20 for the two of us.
That was at around 6:00 or 7:00 pm though, so I can't say what happens later. Getting back near the ship early allowed us some shopping time at the Aloha Tower Marketplace.

Oops, I hit the post button before I was finished.
We cruised from/to Vancouver, BC in April/May so I don't know how the ocean from LA in November would be. For us, the rockiest part was during the first two days out of Vancouver and the last two days coming back. Waters to the south were fine. It wouldn't hurt to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. The captain slowed the ship down on the rough days when people were up and about. Some did get sick during the first couple of days. I just found it fun.
