Early arrival at Pier

We will be arriving at the Pier in Ft. Lauderdale at 10:30 in the morning. What time are you allowed to go onto the ship?

Hi Lauren,

We went on the Voyager last week and we arrived about 11:30 and were on the ship by about 1:00. I think it depends on how fast disembarkment from the last cruise goes. We didn't disembark until almost noon time and there were people waiting in those rooms they hold you in when we left the ship. I don't think they had let anyone on because people were still coming off.
Hope that helps!

Alyssa

You can't get on, no matter how badly you want to, until the other people get off. Would be some mess if you had people coming on and getting off at the same time. They also have to have time to clean the ship.

It really depends on when the ship arrives in port. Usually it is very early, leaving plenty of time for the other people to leave, plus all the clean up has to begin. I am sure most cruise ships are very fast at doing this for they have had a lot of experience.

Which ship?

Princess normally boards between 11:30 and noon. There is no reason to arrive before then.

You didn't mention which cruise line. They are somewhat different boarding times depending on the cruise line.
Hal's boarding starts at 1:15, other lines start earlier.

Since you are arriving at 10:30, by the time you get your luggage and get to the pier it will be 11:30 or so. Just go to the pier.

We're sailing on Monarch. We will be arriving in Miami at 9:30 a.m. so probably be in Ft. Lauderdale by 10:00.

Lauren

I'd say go have breakfast somewhere then go to the pier. That's too early to try to board.

Hi,

If your flight comes into Miami at 9:30, you probably won't make it to FLL until 11:00 or so by the time you get your luggage, get in a bus or shuttle etc. .

You may have wait a little time at the pier, but not long. Someone will be there to take your luggage so it won't be unbearable.
