Dawn Princess

Has anyone been on the Dawn Princess and if so your impressions. I understand that you never pay the brochure price; however, is the price something that is negotiated with the travel agent or do you pay the "Love Boat Saver" price?

I've been on the Dawn Princess (also the Sun Princess & Sea Princess - twin ships). The Love Boat Saver prices are another word for an early booking discount. These prices are available from any TA.
Some TA's offer group prices on certain sailings and on certain cruises Princess offers specials (this depends on how well the cruise is selling). These are the great prices you want to look for.
Hope you find what you're looking for...feel free to contact me if you like.

Denise - Thanks for your reply. It seems that the only deck available on the date we want is the Plaza (low, low, low); however, it is an outside cabin. We would have loved a little higher definitely with a balcony. Any feelings on the Plaza deck? If very negative, then I guess we would wait until the fall, but we really want to book something now. 2 coupls, mid 50"s- is Princess the line for us, if not do you have an opinion. Appreciate you input.

Have taken two southern caribbean cruised on the Dawn and both were great -- as far as the Plaza deck that is fine , the only downside is that you might hear some noise when the ship is docking as the next lower deck is usually where the gangway is so see what is below your cabin -- we were in cabin D744 (dolphin deck) over the dance floor on one cruise and listened to the show twice a night from our cabin on the first cruise. also, you might take a look at the inside cabins on the aloha,Baja or caribe decks -- especially the centerline ones (B134, B137 etc.), these are relatively inexpensive, quiet, LARGE staterooms and who spends much time looking out the cabin window anyway?? Have fun.
