Windstar is a 4 masted sailing yacht-which normally uses the sails constantly--it is an awesome sight to see! We did Windsurf ( the largest of the Windstar line) and LOVED it....330 passengers ,terrific food, excellent service..
Oceania is the old Renaissance cruise line resurected...Also small ships but a standard cruise ship as it has NO sails....
Windstar ships go into wonderful smaller ports that larger ships cannot go into--
and we did Windsurf in the MED and would do it again in a heartbeat...

Have done both, and Windstar goes hands down.
You might want to look at Star Clippers

We spent two weeks on the Royal Clipper, their new ship, and it was way above Windstar. Thought I would let you know because Star Clippers does a great job.The Royal Clipper (the one that I really love) is in the Med until October. Check out their website.
