Beach towels for shore excursions

Can't find answer on Celebrity website - when one leaves ship at port to go to beach, either on excursion or on ones own, what do you do about beach towels. Do you take a pool towel, room towel, bring one from home?

Hi Gail:

Celebrity provides very plush towels for each pax to take ashore. They will be placed in your stateroom by the cabin steward.

Be sure to return them to your room or you will be charged. If you really want to keep one to take home, they will charge your account and bring you a brand new one.

There are towels by the pool, but those are for use in that area.

No need to bring a towel from home. Saves room in your luggage for more important things---like shoes maybe! ;-)

Have a fun cruise. You have chosen a very good line!

Thanks - my husband just reminded me they had towels for off-ship use in Bermuda. He also told me to stop obsessing about the cruise - which is probably the best advice yet.

We just got off Costa and they put beach towels in our cabin night before 1st port. But we found they were smaller than the towels we could get at the pool. So we took those and not ones they gave us!

Plush towels? Haven't seen that. How do they absorb water?

Bonnie: The towels on Celebrity are larger than the poolside ones.

Roswalt: They absorb just fine.
PLUSH1. a fabric, as of silk, cotton, or wool, whose pile is more than 1/8 inch (0.3 cm) high.)
(or maybe I didn't understand your question?!)
