Adding 4th person at the last minute
Just wondering whether anyone has added a 4th person to an existing booking at the last minute? We're about to book, our son at this stage doesn't want to go but I suspect closer to the time he may want to. Will this be a problem or incur extra costs?
Many thanks

When we reserved the cabin we made sure it had four berths even though we had only reserved three. About a month prior to departure second son decided to join us. No problem, just charged us the published rate for 3 and 4 th person in same room. The fourth person will not go for free.

The rate for 3rd and 4th person is standard and does not change closer to sailing. The only thing that would make it more money is if the cabin could not accomodate 4 and had to be changed. Then you would pay the new price.
Many lines will only allow you to book cabins that accomodate a certain number so as to maximize their revenue. If you do not have a cabin designated for 4 you cannot just simply add a fourth.

Also, if the ship has reached their capacity, even if you have a cabin that accomodates 4, they may not let you add the additional person.
I am not sure when you are sailing but it may be worth to add him now and then cancel him at final payment if this is possible. If you are close to sailing date, this would not work.
