25th Anniversary cruise!
We have sailed with our family on Disney, and will again soon on Carnival Freedom, but now am planning a cruise just for the two of us celebrating 25 years of marriage! Would like to sail in the winter, maybe Southern Carribean, and out of a Florida port, Ft. Lauderdale, Canaveral or Miami. Any suggestions on ship, and itinerary? We will not need to travel during school holidays this time! Yeah!

I took the rccl Explorer of the seas for the second time last year and Im returning again this year. My favorite int. is from miami, pr,st martin, st thomas, and bahamas. We loved it, all the islands were beautiful. The ship is really nice and the food was really great. The food was actually better than the first time we sailed on that ship.

Serenade of the Seas out of San Juan is a good choice. Good food, lovely ship, GREAT ports.
You cannot do a real Southern route out of Florida unless you try an extended trip. Too far.
Princess has a ship in SJU most of the year as well. It is currently the Crown, next year the renovated Caribbean Princess.
Personally, we enjoy HAL and avoid the big ships period. Too crowded, too many people, and generally too many kids, no matter the season. The new Eurodam is going to be beautiful and has a terrific itinerary.
If you want an upscale experience, book HAL's Noordam or Eurodam.
