12 days grand princess-greek isles

We are booked next summer on a 12-day cruise on the Grand Princess from Venice to Rome. Ports-Dubrovnik,Corfu,Katakolon,Athens,Mykonos,Kusadai, Rhodes, Santorini,Naples,& Rome.
Will like to have some feedback from travelers who have been on this cruise before. Our biggest concern is land tours. Which ones, ect? Your information will definetly be appreciated.

Dubrovnik, Corfu, Mykonos, Rhodes, and Santorini are very easy to do on your own. The main towns are quite walkable. We did a little reading, starting with the destinations section of Fodors.

In Athens, our disembarkation port, we hired a private driver to pick us up at the ship, take us on a tour of the city, and drop us off at our hotel, as we were staying one extra night.

Abram, thank you for your reply. Did you cruise on the Grand Princess? Although we are already booked and have paid the initial fees,I am reading mixed reviews about this ship and it services? Please let me know if applicable.

Check out the Carnival Liberty. Rome to Rome with stops at Naples, Sicily, Dubrovnik, Venice, Barcelona, Cannes, and Florence. New ship, good price.

We cruised the Med on Oceania's Insignia, which we loved so much we booked another trip for November.

Although we like Princess' personal choice dining, the Grand is too big for us.

FYI the first passenger reviews of the Libery on cruise critic are very high, 4.3 I think.

I'd be interested in any more replies on this. I'm going on the same cruise next year. I'm fairly certain we won't do any of the ships shore tours though, I think we will do our own thing but any suggestions would be great.

I sailed Grand last year. Rh28rh, you will always find mixed reviews, don't worry about it. It is a great ship. Service is pretty much perfect, food was the best we ever tried on cruise our of all our RCCL, Princess and Carnival cruises. We had a fixed dining but decided to try personal choice one night, just out of curiosity. No wait time for table for 10, and the same great service.
