Your best place to go
I am planning a tropical vacation in late April. Would like scuba diving and maybe some charter fishing.
Where are some of your favorite spots so I can begin my planning.
I have never traveled farther than Florida so I really need help.

Turks & Caicos has my vote too. The diving and snorkeling are wonderful there. Many do not like A/I resorts, I happen to love them, so Beaches also has my vote. A plus for Beaches is that daily scuba diving is included in the A/I package (snorkeling trips too). That alone could save you money. I'm sure they can arrange fishing, but I don't think it's part of the deal.
We were at Beaches last May (it was just the 2 of us adults). We had no problems with any of the kids at the resort. Everyone seemed to be on their best behavior.
We've been to T&C three times, and our trip to Beaches for May 2005 is already booked. We loved the resort, and the staff was super friendly. The beach is beautiful and the water is calm and clear.
