Your post is a little vague, actually, and it wouldbe difficult to give advice without further information from you. The majority of the islands have palm trees, beaches, calm water, and modern rooms. (Your list eliminates Saba, Dominica, Statia, but they are not heavily touristed anyway.) Tell us more about what you want. The first thing you should know, however, is that islands with the most beautiful beaches tend to be less attractive on the interior. Conversely, islands that are lush and/or mountainous generally have beaches that are not up to par with the scrubbier, flat islands'. There are a few exceptions, such as Jamaica, Puerto Rico and St. John, who offer the best of both worlds. So tell us: do you want lots of action and nightlife, or do you want to spend your evenings with quieter pursuits? Do you want to explore the island you're on or stay mainly within the confines of the resort? Do you want an English speaking island or would you prfer something else? Do you want shopping, historic sites to tour, museums, and whatnot or do you prefer to stay put on a glorious beach? Do you want a large and bustling resort with plenty of activities night and day, or a smaller more intimate place that offer more privacy and romance? The convenience of all-inclusive, or the option to try lots of nifty restaurants?

Thank you. It doesn't have to be an English speaking island. We want a lush grounds with palm trees, modern room, good seafood and steak, beautiful beach with clear/clam water. we don't need lots of action, some place that is secluded and excellent service plus comfortable bed to sleep on.

Try Negril Jamaica. Best of it all. They have secluded areas as well. Family stayed at Moondance Villas & loved it. Had their own cook, bartender & staff. They will fix whatever you ask. The place was gorgeous & very laid back. Nightlife is right dwn the beach a short walk. Just don't go from 4-1 to 6-30 if you want lobster. It is mating season & they are off limits.
