Where to go in the Caribbean
looking for lively, upscale, tropical vacation spot for my family in July- love good restaurants, shopping, beach, pool, etc. - been to Atlantis/Reef many times looking for a change--

Do you mean specifically in the Bahamas (you mentioned Atlantis) or the Caribbean in general? This might help to get a quick gauge of what's out there for a lot of the Caribbean (and specific spots)... https://tropicalogy.com/category/des...ons/caribbean/

I would look into Bermuda (the reefs or tuckers point) or Grand Cayman (Ritz Carlton) based on your criteria. Both islands have good upscale shopping, excellent restaurants and nice beaches. Easier to rent a car and drive on GC .. Bermuda you would have to rely on a taxi or buses.

Check out St. Barth's - it's the Paris of the Caribbean when it comes to dining (some of the very best in the Caribbean) and shops and you'll find a selection of nice beaches, plenty of water sports and it has a very upscale vibe.
