My husband, myself and our two kids (our daughter is 12 and our son is 14) are trying to decide what is the best resort and island to go to in the caribbean. My husband scuba dives, we snorkel, like to have a town to walk around in, nice hotels, and are hoping to find a hotel/resort that offers stuff for pre-teen/teens to do. Any suggestions? We have been to a few of the Iberostar resorts in Playa del Carmen in Mexico and loved it but are looking to take them somewhere else. We have been to Hawaii several times to that is why we are looking to go somewhere in the Caribbean. I would appreciate any suggestions.

The Westin in St. John Beautiful resort with so-so beach, but lots of kids facilities and activities, including baby-sitting. Awesome beaches on the island with great snorkeling and scuba. Laid-back environment with really cute town "Cruz Bay" for shopping and eating.

Beaches Resort on T&C will satisfy all your family needs except for one. There is no sight seeing on the island, so the beach is the only place to really walk around. But, if is beautiful.
